PDF Handling in CF8

And now for something completely different - one of the truly unique features of CF 8: PDF form handling.

As boring as it sounds, it's interesting when you're playing with the possibilities of the PDF format. Particularly leveraging the form capabilities of PDF makes it a worthwhile toy to play with for CF developers with ColdFusion 8.

Kai explains what one could do when it comes to populating PDF forms and getting data back from them. We'll also have a look into the exciting world of Adobe LiveCycle Designer and he'll tell you why in a lot of use cases it's not necessary to pay thousands of dollars for Adobe LiveCycle ES (because CF 8 does an amazing job) and for which use cases it indeed might make sense to fork out the money.
