What is ColdFusion?
ColdFusion is an enterprise level application server from Adobe. Developers use CFML (ColdFusion Markup Language) to create interactive, dynamic web applications that are deployed on the ColdFusion server platform.
We like ColdFusion because CFML is the fastest, easiest way to write and deploy complex web applications.
Predating rivals PHP and ASP, ColdFusion has had a long history of development, first at Allaire, before being bought by Macromedia, who were then bought by Adobe. In early 2008 a number of exciting announcements about open source CFML engines have made headlines, and without a doubt ColdFusion is in a stronger position than ever before.
More information about Adobe ColdFusion can be found on the Adobe web site.
